To Perfect and to Serve - There's a New Chef in Town!
Fort Worth, Texas (PRWEB) July 13, 2007 -- Tastefully Yours Catering, Inc., a leading catering, private dining and cooking school in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for 18 years, is launching an aggressive growth campaign under the direction of new owners Andrew and Lisa Huszar.
The Huszars are off to a fast start. They arrived from Chicago in mid-June, completed the purchase of the Grapevine landmark and catered their first local event the same day.
The pace is nothing new to Andrew Huszar. As head of off-premise catering and special events for Phil Stefani Signature Restaurants, comprised of some 15 restaurants, banquet halls and seasonal venues in Greater Chicago, he often catered half a dozen weddings on the same day.
In 25 years in the restaurant industry, Huszar also has served as chef at Chicago's La Coq au Vin and Coppi restaurants and Va Penserio in suburban Evanston. His corporate assignments at food industry leader ARAMARK and Grainger Industrial Supply help him understand the needs of corporate clients especially well.
Huszar earned an undergraduate degree from the William Angliss School of Culinary Arts, Melbourne, Australia. He also studied cross-cultural cooking at the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York, taught at the renowned Kendall College School of Culinary Arts, Chicago, and has taken other training in Europe.
Of Hungarian origin, Huszar grew up in Australia, where his father was a chef and his mother a caterer. He came to the United States on a vacation 19 years ago, not intending to stay. One thing led to another, and soon he found himself in high-profile food service jobs in Chicago, where he met Lisa.
The Huszars' goals are as ambitious as their past achievements are impressive. "We plan to have the finest catering business in North Texas," Andrew Huszar said.
Tastefully Yours grew to prominence under former owners Rena Marson and Debbie Stone, since relocated to Denver, where they are opening a new business. "We have great respect for what Rena and Debbie established," Lisa Huszar said. "We are building on that - including the extensive menu offerings they developed - while adding our own touches and an organic menu."
Other Tastefully Yours traditions being continued include the popular corporate team-building cooking classes and wine pairing events. "We've already seen a strong demand for corporate team-building events," Andrew said. "They provide a very constructive environment where people who work together come to know and appreciate their co-workers for their diverse talents."
Beginning August 4, and continuing the first Saturday evening of each month thereafter, the wildly popular gourmet private dining events will resume at the company's picturesque 1925 farm home, Blue House, 829 S. Dooley Street in downtown Grapevine. On those special evenings this location becomes the Parlour Café, serving a variety of chef's selections in a four-course feast. The events have taken on a cult-like popularity for local diners and their fortunate guests.
The Huszars have retained one more special feature of Tastefully Yours - long-time employee Danny Marson, Rena's brother. "We're thrilled to have Danny stay on as part of the team," Lisa said. "He knows the business inside out, but more importantly, he knows our customers - and they love him."
