Jacopo's Pizzeria, One of Beverly Hills' Oldest and Most Beloved Landmark Restaurants is Moving Locations Next Month
Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) September 21, 2007 -- Jacopo's Pizzeria, one of Beverly Hills' oldest and most beloved landmark restaurants, is moving locations next month. The new Jacopo's will be open by October 21, 2007, until then they will be open at the 490 N Beverly Dr. address.
The Zagat rated Jacopo's of Beverly Hills a favorite haunt of both the local Beverly Hills crowd and Hollywood's past stars from Henry Fonda, Groucho Marx, to today's superstars like Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, Scarlett Johannson, Britney Spears, Chris Rock, Jay Leno, Brad Garrett and so many more.
The new location is a few blocks South of Wilshire at 326 S. Beverly Dr., Beverly Hills, CA 90212. The phone number will remain the same, (310) 858-6446. The new restaurant will be next door to another Beverly Hills landmark, the world famous 14 Karats Jewelry store.
"Many of our guests are in shock and disbelief over the move," says owner Barry Fogel. "Being in same location for almost 40 years, I've seen two and sometimes even three generations growing up at eating at Jacopo's. Families and couples eating at the same table on the same night for 38 years are in for a pleasant change.
"We're going to preserve all of the charm of the old location, the red and white checkered table cloths, red candles and brick but even make it more enjoyable with a slightly larger dining room.
"Chef-owner Barry Fogel promises that the food is going to kick it up a notch as well. "I'm going back into the kitchen to personally to ensure that Jacopo's great food is going to be better than ever."
Barry Fogel started working at Jacopo's at age 13 as a dishwasher and worked his way though all of the jobs until buying the then only store in 1977, at only 19 years old.
