Luis Miguel Cortazar Named Executive Chef At Riviera Maya's Paraiso de la Bonita
Riviera Maya, Mexico (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- Luis Miguel Cortazar has been appointed executive chef at Paraiso de la Bonita Resort & Thalasso, the intimate, beachfront boutique resort featuring 90 ocean view suites on 14 acres in the Riviera Maya.

In his new position, Chef Cortazar leverages a distinguished 17-year culinary career gained at Mexico's leading resorts including, most recently, Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach in Cancun and Villa del Palmer Flamingo in Nuevo Vallarta. His experience also includes top chef positions at stellar hotels in Bermuda, Panama and Mexico's Baja California. He began his career at the International School of Gastronomy and Tourism in Panama, where he managed menu development as well as the training programs of the School's culinary team.
Chef Cortazar will be responsible for all of Paraiso's gourmet dining options including La Canoa, El Chiringuito Beachside Grill and Kaax and will continue to provide an exceptional level of quality and choice using the resort's unique "Cuisine de los Soles" fusion of cooking styles, based on the spices and chilies that are the foundation of the culinary traditions of warm-weather countries.
