EAPIMS's Cookout Helps Monitor Foods for Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Purposes to Reduce the Chances of Contracting E. coli and Other Foodborne

San Francisco, Calif. (PRWEB) November 7, 2025 -- EAPIMS, an innovative quality assurance and quality control monitoring company has unveiled their monitoring system that monitors the proper cooking of foods to combat the infestation of harmful bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella and other food borne illnesses for both residential and commercial use. Cookout is a wireless food monitoring system. To this end, EAPIMS launched a newly updated website (www.eapims.com) that features a demonstration video that shows how the system works and the many other monitoring applications. EAPIMS has products available for other industry as well.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, E. coli is short for Escherichia coli. It is a type of bacteria that normally lives in the intestines of animals and humans. There are hundreds of different kinds, or strains, E. coli O157:H7 produces a powerful toxin and can cause severe illness, kidney failure and even death. The dangerous type of E. coli has been found in beef, milk, fresh vegetables and fruits along with fruit juices. There have been instances when E. coli has been found in water that has been contaminated by sewage. Every year there are about 76 million foodborne related illness cases in the United States

Cookout is available for both commercial and residential use. The system is great for commercial usages because it create consistency as far as the food being cooked, especially in an industry with a high turnover ratio. Cookout can be used in the home for people with little cooking experience. Cookout is a portable wireless system with two-way communication. The two-way communications allows the system to be updated and configured wirelessly through the internet.

The Cookout system has a temperature sensor transceiver module infused with a meat probe. Meat probe applications and application settings can vary depending on the user's needs. Cookout allows up to 12 different cooking applications. Readings are communicated wirelessly to the reader(s) where it is displayed for manager(s) and/or cook(s). The meat probe sensor can have up to 12 different cooking settings to compare the temperature of the item being cooked. For example, Beef and chicken require different temperatures to kill off germs while keeping the food juicy. The application for chicken would compare the predetermined level needed to reach the temperature to kill off all bacteria with the current temperature result of the chicken being punctured by the meat probe. If the readings are sufficient, the system will then allow the user to serve the meat. Users can also set a "too high" level for over cooking meat as well. If the reading is insufficient, then the system will alert the user that the meat is not ready to be served or should not be served. This produces consistency amongst different cooks.

The monitoring of foods in storage areas can be important as well. Food can spoil if not kept below a certain temperature level. This is especially important in cases of a power outage. The system can be configured to alert manager(s) if the temperature goes below a predetermined level. EAPIMS other monitoring applications include: Fluorocarbons, smoke, ammonia and more. E. coli sensing modules are in development for next year line of new modules.

The basic system retail price for Cookout is $720 for an 800 ft communication range system. This includes the Cookout module, Reader with USB cable, and software. Addition modules can be ordered separately and linked to their intended Reader. Other foods applications include violate vapors for foods, Hydrogen Sulfide, water vapor for foods, refrigerant gases, violate organic vapors, and more.

"The cost of the system is very minimal when considering the value it brings to an establishment and with the other monitoring capabilities that they can add-on the system would be protecting the company or person's assets. The system can be used in restaurants, homes, and outdoor events such as fairs, tailgating parties, and more. Most people contract food poisoning because of improperly cooked foods. Cookout is an added protection for people with a weak immune system," said Walter Westmoreland, VP of Sales and Marketing for EAPIMS. The company states that the system is currently being administered to a couple of fast food chains.
