Japanese Cucumber

The Japanese cucumber usually has a smaller girth than the regular “English” cucumber. The skin is also thinner and more tender, with an even dark green color and a smattering of tiny white “bumps”. The flesh too is greener than its Western counterpart. And in my humble opinion, it is juicier, sweeter, crispier and has more crunch and flavor. It is super in sandwiches, salads or just to munch whole, as I am sometimes wont to do.
